Gauge cluster light's ???

When i turn my key on on my 05 all the instrument lights come on except for the check engine light and the glow plug light. I figured that the bulbs were bad so i pulled the cluster and neither one has bulbs behind them the only thing im guessing is that they are led's on the front side of the circut board which is covered by the gauge cluster back ground. I also check all the fuses there all installed and none are blown. I bought the truck a few weeks ago and noticed this but the truck runs perfect. I used my wifes sct tuner for her 08 mustang to see if the ecu had and stored codes and it says there no dtc trouble codes. Is there something else i should do or check ?

It looks like a curly pigs tail but neither it or the check engine light comes on at anytime i would figure they would light up when the key is first turned on. You can see them if you shine a flashlight on the cluster but they just dont come on.
