Yet another mirror swap question

I have read through a dozen threads on this. And I'm getting mixed messages. Many talk about direct connections for a few. Then have to wire others under the dash.

The mirrors I bought have power and heat. My truck already has power and heat. Is there anything that would stop me from just matching up the wire with corresponding colors? Or cut the old connection off old mirrors and match wires on new mirrors to have a factory like connection?

Hard to help when we don't know what your truck is. You have not put any signature information in. If you get your mirrors from 1A Auto, you will get good quality units at a reasonable price and quick shipping. They will be a direct replacement with good fit and finish. If you get them with the exact options eg. heated, power they will be plug and play. I have an 05 excursion. I upgraded to the 08-12 mirrors with heat and power since thats the option I had originallyh. They were plug and play. Took 20 minutes to swap out. They wife was so happy with the visibility improvement with the new mirrors I got bonus sex. Can't beat that deal.

2005 Excursion Limited 6.0L, Zoodad, Insight CTS w/Pyro and fuel pressure, blue spring, Coolant filter, Rancho RS9000xls w/ MyRide wireless, DC power alternator, Tekonsha P3, Door seal mod. 08+ style tow mirrors, Stainless braided brake lines, Powerslot cryo rotors, Hawk LTS pads, Britebox So far.....

I have a 2005 lariat. I have mirrors already. The plugs are different. But the wire colors are the same. Can I cut the plug and just connect like colored wires?

Like Kawika said, if you had power and heat and the new mirrors had power and heat hookups they should be plug and play. We will need year make and model of vehicle though.

2005 F250 King Ranch, CCSB, FX4, 4.5 inch rough country lift, Edge Evolution tuner, studded, nitto terra grapplers 35s, custom exhaust, intake, hids. SOLD.

Looking for my next powerstroke.

I have already purchased the mirrors. Both new and my existing have power and heat. But the plugs on new mirrors are different. It's a 2005 f250 lariat 6.0 ccsb
