That website is where I saw the Avital. My buddy also has one. So I think that might be the one I am going to get.

I have a Viper 5900SSt. One Mile Range and remote start. I paid $349 installed. The only problem you might run in to is the tack on the diesels are different from a gas. The remote start will only work for about 30 seconds. You need a Emulator to simulate a tack. Directed electronics will have all of the stuff you need. Southern Sound Lville Georgia

No need to hook up the tach, you can set the alarm to read voltage. The option is Tachless mode.

yah thats how is was originaly setup, but i have a, well lets say a bit above average stereo istalled, and when it all kicks in my voltage would drop for some reason, so the only way was to simulate a voltage or tach, so thats what we had to do. I finnaly wired my train horns in to the alarm wire, so if you loiter around the truck for to long you get a nice 130db train horn blast.

I have 2 a 5 year old and a 3 year old compustar and they are both great!
if you are going to have a shop do the install make sure they plug in the wait to start wire to the light on the dash tho. I did one install that way and had a shop install my wifes but hers now has an automatic 18 second wait to crank warm or not ( drives me nuts).

Thank you bro, but one thing is, going with a set up like mine is a little pricey. It would run you about 600 bucks for everything,The window modulators are extra from the alarm set up. But i love it, especially when i dont want to turn the truck off when i have to run a quick errand, I hit a button and then lock it, stays running and also locked. any questions on it just let me know bro.
