Usually it's a vacuum leak in the hubs.

I checked the hubs they appear to be fine no issues with hoses. My vacuum pump runs constantly?

Clearly I have a vacuum leak. Help please?

I have had this happen twice and it was and it was 2 different things. Sorry I did not look to see if u have auto climate control. I do. First time I had issue I had to get entire unit. 2nd time it happened it was a control box with a chip in it that went out. I don't remember where the box was and I am at work and no paper work. It was like 1/4 the price of the climate control unit. I can dig around this evening for paperwork to get name of part.

If you have the electronic HVAC control and start having phantom issues, 9 times out of 10 its the resistor. I think ford calls it a module. This is a known issue. It's located on the fan housing under the hood. When it fails you can get symptoms like you describe also fan only forks on high and comes out of wrong vents etc. I'd start there. You can do searces here on a/c problems, a/c not working, vents not working etc. the information you seek is located in these forums.

Is there you guys could take a pic of the parts your talking about?

As for the forums, I've been searching for 2 weeks now with possible resolution but nothing that's been mentioned has been the problem on my truck.

The resister is the first I've heard. I'm not getting vacuum to the solenoid behind the actual unit in the dash.

Thank you guys for responding, it's a huge help

I did a quick search here for "a/c resistor" and got several hits. In this one there is a pic. don't know if it is for yours. Mines an 05 excursion and there is another pic somewhere. I'll try and find. give me some time to find it.
Intermittent ac issues
also in certain years, there is a fuse befire the resistor. Here;
Blower fan issue 04 F 550

also read this one. climate controls not working
