DC Power Alternator

To start off, I am an electrical idiot! I can turn a wrench, but throw an electrical connector in there and it spells trouble. Today I received my new XP270 amp alternator from DC Power, with the cable kit also. I thought I was going to have some trouble, but everything went in smooth. The cable kit fit perfect, and the alternator is putting out enough current to power everything I need.

I wanted to give credit to the people at DC power. I am heading on a trip soon and I told them I needed it by today. They made sure it happened! I know DC had gotten hit in the past for customer service, well I am more than pleased with the service I received. Thank you again for the quality product, and the time spent on the phone helping me with the wiring questions!

I am so glad to be rid of that worthless AutoZone alternator!!!

I hadn't heard anything bad about DC Power (unlike DB) when I bought my 185 amp DC Power last Feb. Ordered it one day and got it like two days later (actually my mechanic got it) and installed like it was made for it!

BTW, in addition to the cable you received from DC, make sure to upgrade the grounding cables (I added cables to mine) to the negative side of the batteries. Electricity is a two way street!

Here's some more good ideas for you: http://ficmrepair.com/tips.htm

Good luck!

Albin, I upgraded both the power and ground cables. I also added an additional ground cable from the engine to the chasse.
