Radio Scans when I hit the brakes??

This is a new one for me. I towed my Travel Trailer to work today and when I hit the brakes the radio began scanning for stations. If I pressed a button it would stop and worked fine. Not sure if something in the electric brake system could do this? I'm leaving at 4PM to go camping with the family so I'm hoping it's not a major issue. If it matters, I was towing my camper with the camper battery in the "on" position so I could keep the auto-igniter running for the fridge. Any clues on this one would be appreciated.

Update: I think I found a short in my trailer harness plug. Will test it and figure it out.
