Recommendation on LED tails **Instead of RECON**

Hey guys, looking for a good recommendation on tails and a third brake light (LED). I had RECON and they failed after 7 months. For the price I paid I expected much more. And oh yeah, their customer service was horrible. All they did was offer to sell me more lights

Any help is appreciated!!

For tail lights, you could swap in some 2008 or newer ones and put in some led bulbs! I did this and it looks great:

Thanks Greg. Did you replace your flasher? Somewhere around the radio correct? Also noticed in your sig dual color front turns? What's the deal with those?

The flasher is simple to replace, just pick up an "EP-27 Electronic" flasher at an auto parts store.
If you have the drivers side glovebox, just squeeze the tabs together on it so that you can lower it out of the way, then reach in the opening and the flasher is just behind and above the opening.

The dual color front turn signals (switchbacks) give you a white parking light, but when you activate the turn signals they change to amber and flash!

Here is a video of mine:

I found a red LED bulb at the auto parts store that plugged right into the receptical on my 2009 Vulcan, is there any reason that wouldn't work in my 2003 tail light housing? It does the dimmer tail light and the brighter blinker like the incandescent bulb did, just mucho brightero.

It should work fine! You need to change your flasher to an electronic one so that the led bulbs will still flash at the correct speed.

I would use an EP-27L flasher. It's the same as mentioned above but it clicks louder.

That's awesome. I think I may add this to my list of things to do.
