power door locks and windows

I've got an '03 f350 xl regular cab, with the 6.0. I've also got a '99 f350 xlt extended cab with the 5.4 in it. My question is can I take the wiring harness for the power Windows and door locks out of my old truck and put it in my newer one? Will the harness have spots to hook to in the xl or is it easier for me to make my own harness? Thanks for any input

If the plug ins are there, I don't see why not. I used my power window switch to troubleshoot my mother's F150. There wasn't a major change in the Super Duty line until 2005.

If the XL is manual windows and locks, then it may be easier to swap the entire door and paint to match.

You probably can put the wiring harnesses in, but you're also going to need the window and door lock motors, too. If the regulators are different, there's another part to swap. What does the interior of the doors look like? That has to be swapped, too.

My interior on my new truck is plain Jane...no options. Yeah I was gonna gut the old doors(both motors, interior door skin, and wiring) and put it all in the newer one. The harness is what I'm worried about, I can take it all right outta the old truck just wasn't sure how it would hook up...if I had to make a new harness for my new truck (to plug in the door harness into) or I could take all the wiring out and be able to hook it up
