cluster lights on my 06

just wondering what bulbs to get for my 06 gauge cluster, i have one out, took it apart and though it was a #74 bulb but it appears to be smaller than that. the only other option at the parts house was a #37 bulb. can anyone tell me what the correct bulb is for my application?

Thanks,
Adam

Oh, this game...

I played it, but I don't remember what the outcome was.

I do happen to have one of the twist-lock sockets and couple of #37 bulbs in my stash, and they do fit the socket.

I don't remember if the #37's were the ones the Ford parts guy gave me that were "close enough" though.

I believe that #74 and #37 are the same size (both T1-3/4, 5mm x 18mm), the difference between them is the #74 is supposed to be brighter than the #37.

Then there is the PC161... which is the bulb including socket combo.

I *think* the proper Ford part is 5F9Z-13B765-BA, but they want an arm and a leg for them (this is bulb + socket).

Please update the thread when you eventually figure it out.
