Gauge wiring harness?

is a harness really needed or is it basically making my own that will do the trick for me, i found one here but that seems so expensive but then again prolly simple as 1-2-3 and it it is for the optix diprocol series gauges, but i am snot sure that i will go with those yet...s for now i am so un-decided for my set of gauges!!!!!!!!

bottom harness is the one i would need for the gauges,

When I had gauges in my 95, I just ran all the wires myself. I ziptied them all together and didn't have a problem. I used Isspro gauges so don't know what the difference is.

If you've decided on the Dipricol Optix series, then here's something to think about. The gauges all come with a pigtail that you can wire yourself, but their special harness does more than make installing them easier. Yes, it's somewhat prewired so you have less cutting and splicing to do, and they come with the cripms and connectors, but more importantley, they have built in dimmers. What are they for, you ask? They allow you to adjust them independantly from ea. other. Let me explain. Yes, the illumination wire that will power up the lighting for all the gauges will tie in to your factory dimmer circuit so that they dim with your OE gauges, but more importantly the individual dimmers allow you to adjust them so that they all match. If you find that one gauge is slightly brighter than the rest, you can dim that one gauge down untill it illuminates the same as the rest. Also, if you think that they are just a little too bright compared to your OE gauges, w/o the individual dimmers, you'd have to dim your factory gauges to dim the Dipricols. You may not want to dim your fact. gauges. In this circumstance the solution is to adjust all of the DiPricols with their individual dimmers. Just turn them dowm to a pleasing level. That's it.

The dimmers that I speak of are not something that you will leave exposed. They are built in to the harness, so after you get them where you want them, they stay hidden with the rest of harness.

Hope this illuminates things for you. Sorry, I couldn't resist.
