stereo removal in 04 PSD/dvd with nav install ??'s

looking to get the stock stereo out and install a Pioneer Avic N1

the stock deck has the holes on either sides so i just pop it out with a coathanger i saw this in another thread ??

where is the best place to mount the brain for the new unit ??

has anyone done this swap and can give me some advice ??

You can buy the removal tool at walmart or the local auto store for about $3, better than a coat hanger.
