12" shallow mount subwoofers

who makes the best shallow mount 12" sub?

I'm thinkin anything to fit behind the back seat will have to be shallow mount..or close to it.

so, whats the best that fits- I think I want 2 12s back there.

I'll make my own box. I am figuring approximately 5 inches of depth max, but I havent made official measurements

You have bench seats or a console up front? I just finished installing a JL Audio Stealthbox, it has a single 10" in an enclosure that fits in the console. Sound is - very sweet.

I did see a stealthbox for front bench seat powerstroke on ebay, goes under the middle seat.

The Pioneer TS-SW3041D is the best shallow 12 available. I have directly compared them to the Kicker CVT and the Rockford Fosgate P3's in my F350.

Once the JLTW5's are actually released, they will probably be the best but they will be $600 vs. $150.

both are identical!

The 3041 is available to all Pioneer dealers where as the 1241 is reserved for high end Premier dealers. Also when purchased and installed by a Premier dealer the 1241 will have a 2yr warranty vs. a 1yr warranty with the 3041.

I have my 03 and cant seem to find a box that would fit without having to cut the panel at the back....

I dont think I want one firing up through the back seat...

Unfortunately in the 99-03 you will have to either cut the ridge off the back panel or remove the back panel completely in order to get enough mounting depth for any sub and box.

Something else to consider...A new replacement back panel for the 04-07 is only $66 so i would imagine the older one is close to or cheaper than that.
