Anyone install a stealthbox?

Got a used on off of ebay, minus some nuts and bolts. It does have the feet, it's missing the bolts and shims for the top.

I have the instruction sheet from JL Audio, but thought I'd see if anyone here had been through the process and had words of personal wisdom to offer.

If the temperature doesn't get too hostile this weekend, I'll try to put it in.

Hey Man,

Congrats on the Stealthbox! I had one installed in my center console, and it's the most awesome thing I ever heard!

Nice looking truck. Very nice. Looks exactly like Big Duke, my F350. Got to love that KR - it's the rolls royce of light trucks. What's the bed cover - I've been thinking about one.

Stealthboxes to fit superduties with the center console show up on ebay about every two to three weeks. Usually sell for $350-450, better than the $600 you pay for one new.

The description I have seen for the stealth box says it raises the center console 1.5". How does that look? Is it very noticeable?

What about the reduced storage space? How much do you give up?

You lose about 90% of it. You are left with about 2" of storage just below the lid.

Yep, pretty much killed the storage space. You get a little tray, and that's about it.

Does it sound sweet, though.
