? on running lights

I like to have on running lights when towing trailer even in day light. But it dims the dash making it hard to read. Is there a way I can wire a upflipper to turn on only the trucks running light ie (parking, clearence, and mirror) ?

I just put my lights on auto setting and covered the sensor on the dash with black tape. That way you can just forget about the lights cause they are on all the time. I like to be seen. As for the upfitter switch, guessing you could just splice into the wire behind the dash and run it to the upfitter but you would have to splice into it before the sensor.

I would think it would be easier for you to place your switch between the power and your gauges. That way you can turn the running lights on without the dash lights. Course then when it is dark you would have to hit the switch for the dash lights to come on. With a little time you should be able to wire the dash lights to feed off of the headlights instead of just the running lights too.

I just throw either a black or tan soda bottle cap over the sensor and they come on all the time too
