Will a double DIN fit in a 03 SD?

Trying to find a radio to replace the stock one...was looking at some of the AVIC models...

I did manage to get the 'stock' radio out........with a hammer and screwdriver.

I realize crotchfield says no.....but it looks so close..

Yes. Some minor trimming of the dash bezel is required but its a fairly easy install.

Neat......now to pick a head unit...

Was looking at the panasonic VD7005U..but it doesn't have a nav system option (yet)

wasnt all impressed with the avic D3's features and DVD nav....so, dont reaaally want to go with that.

where else to turn? Saw a Jensen 9512, thought it was ok, but 200 bucks for a TV tuner 250+ for a nav setup...

Gah.....whats a person who needs a radio/nav system to do?

DVD, dual zone, tv, nav (either HD or separate SD card type unit, no DVD), dont care if it is flip or avic style screen.....bluetooth not necessary, neat, but not necessary....

I installed an Alpine IVA-W205 double din head unit. Had to custom make a mounting sleeve and attach this to the dash and also trim the lip on the dash with a router. The alpine has a portable gps unit that slides into the head unit behind the touch screen and then displays on the 7" head unit. You get the best of both worlds, portable gps and in dash.

I just put in the Eclipse AVN-6610 with the blue tooth add-on. It is slick, is easy to use (even the wife figured it out), was on sale at Crutchfield, came with all the mounting bits and harnesses, and was easy to install.
