Double DIN/DVD units, school me!!!

Ok, I have seen pictures of these double din units.

I have an 04. Which would you recommend?

Can the dvd be by-passed to watch while driving?

GPS systems?

Installations?

Pictures of yours?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I always try and go with pioneer or alpine...they seem to be my favorites I like how they work and the setups in them....I try to get pioneer the most just because I think u get the best bang for buck....and u can bypass e DVD on them pretty easy....as for wat to get in the unit is up to u....I normally don't get navi because I've got a pretty nice Tom Tom so I don't need it, but my next will have it to try and keep a cleaner look in the truck...

Double DIN/DVD units, school me!!!

I just got this in the mail yesterday. Waiting on two more items before the install.
With this unit and one of the cables I got I can run GPS/nav through my phone.

And I bought the bypass so the video works while driving

So the by-pass is extra. I was wondering how that worked.

Thanks guys. I need to get something before May. Long road trip that month.

Yes the bypass is extra. It cost $20 just for that. I can't wait to get this thing installed next weekend.

I plan on doing a time lapse video of the install. I might also do a review of its functions.

Can't wait to see the video! I just did a quick search on by-passes. One guy was showing how to use a relay for it.

Yea I just used a switch on mine, lots of guys use relays so they don't have to worry about it. Turn on the truck and its good to go, I just got a switch for mine....turn the truck on and flip the switch and its good to go....just have to turn the switch in and off every time you turn the truck on
