electrical or mechanical gauges?
Ok, so i just bought a Quad pod for my A-pillar,
my gauges will include Boost, Trans, Pryo/EGT, and Volts..(prob will buy Autometer brand) not sure of style yet!so what the heck is the diff between mechanical and electrical? what is everyones preferences? please enlighten me!!!!!!!!! |

the difference is in how the guage gets its signal. a mechanical guage has a tube of some kind running from the guage to whatever its reading, a electrical guage uses a sending unit at the sorce and wires to conect it to the guages. i prefer the electrical guages because its easier to run wires and they arn't as delicate as some of the tubes are. jmho
