The static is due to the FCC making the repeaters low power. My original PNP Sirius worked great. Then it died and I got a Stratus. Lots of static, I use the FM modulator, and the AUX input for my boom box. No more static, but it sucks to have extra wires dangling over the dash. I got my stuff from TSS radio.com

This is what I have: USA SPEC DF-FORD20 Adapter Connect a music player to your 1996-up Ford factory radio at Crutchfield.com. It works with the AUX button also. It also has 2 outputs. I use 1 for my SIRIUS and 1 for my MP3 player. When I bought it, they told me I shouldn't need a noise isolator. I went ahead an bought one for each output anyway. Not sure what is wrong or if I'm doing something wrong, but I have terrible alternator interference on both the sat. radio and MP3 outputs. I have it with and without the ground loop isolators installed. what could be wrong? What can I do to get rid of the alternator interference? |

For the best sound quality you need to get a new head unit.. you can used the big plug on your Sat radio receiver and plug it strate in the back of the new head unit.. like i did in my old truck.. on this one it is run throe the antana it is good but not cd quality sound i was used to or that my current cd player puts out.. so dose anyone know of a good head unit that is sat radio ready and i can plug my ipod in as well? |

I got a second portable one that worked off a repeater i did not want to hard wire it because i was going to use it in a tractor and boss mans truck.. i could not get it to even over come the dead stations and when it i did i had to turn the radio up all the way.. I called them to complane they sent me a new tuner and gave me 3 months for free.. The new tuner sat in my house for 4 months till i called and canceled but i get a call from them once a month wanting me to turn that set back on.. o well i guess you can say the FFC screwed them out of my extra business. |
