HIDs

I am looking for brighter headlights in my truck and I thought HIDs would work awesome. Anyone install them into their truck? If so what color did you go with? Thanks!

I have them. DDM Tuning 55w hi lo beams. I have tried the 5k, 6k, 8k. I like the 6k the best and there website says its the most popular color. I believe 4k will have the most light out put. The bluer you go you loose light output. I have installed DDM tuning 55watt hi low on my excursion, nissan car, jeep TJ & JK, escalade. I would recomend the extra $$ for the 55 watt and hi lo beams

I recommend 6000K 55 watt for your fog lights.

I had the same for my headlights, but it proved to be way too bright for my liking or for anyone on the roads liking.

So I removed the headlight HID's and left the ones in the fogs, which is great.

You should also take a look at RetroSolutions for your HID purchase.

They are a supporting vendor of this site and give discounts for powerstroke members!

A lot of guys run the 55w in headlights and 35w in the fogs. I had my HID's before I found this site, but after looking at the box I have 35w in the headlights and I am getting a matching set of 35w fog lights
