Green backlights under Headlight switch and ESOF not working...
Hey guys, I have an 05 XLT F250. I just noticed that my headlight switch and esof switch are not illuminated with the green backlights like the rest of the dash.
What can I check to figure out whats going on? I've had the dash apart before to install an axillary input on my stereo but I don't wanna start pulling the controls apart if they aren't supposed to come apart and break something haha. Any info would be great! |

the headlight switch has it's own plug and if the headlights work it's probably plugged in
my bulb burned out on mine and technically it's non replaceable unless you get creative does the esof illuminate when u first cycle the ignition ? |

edit nm about the key cycle I see it's your esof switch not the dash indicator
does it work ? do you hear the transfer case actuator when u move it ? |

yeah the switch works fine in all 3 positions. it just doesn't light up like the a/c controls, stereo, or any of the other green lights. (same goes for the headlight controls, the orange fog indicator works but the green lights for auto, off, park, and head don't work).

I think your bulb is bad and it's some stupid little odd ball
i found a close match at radioshack then I had to melt the tabs off the back of the case unsolder the bulb reuse the green sleeve it think ,, and then try to reassemble it was a pain and the new bulb is a tad dimmer |
