Need suggestions on aftermarket radio's

Hey guys.. Im looking to upgrade to some current technology.

Im looking for a 2 din radio (Touch screen would be nice but not stuck on it)

The main reason for wanting an aftermarket one is for blue tooth and hands free calling like the new sync systems have. I dont want Aux cables running from my phone to play pandora etc anymore..

I don't need HD radio or Sat radio.

Can anyone give me some suggestions on a decent one for what I want to do? I would like to keep it under $500.00

I saw this one that seemed like it would do what I needed....
Alpine CDE-W235BT CD/MP3 Car Receiver w/ Parrot Bluetooth & USB

What touch screens are you guys using?

I have always liked Alpine. I currently have a W505 and a W205, with Bluetooth added. They have a 910 with built in Nav, and also a new 8" model, but all of that is outside of your budget. Great head units, though.

I dont need SIRIUS sat radio either but I gotta say riding in a car without it drives me nuts! All they do is play commercial and once a good song does come on I run out of signal. And I have the sportser (I think thats what they call it) and I have extra mounting pods for it (one in my work truck, one in the camper and one in the house)

My current favorites are the the new AVH series Pioneers. If for no other reason, they are EXPANDABLE!! You don't have to put out 8 or $900 at one time to have a navigation system. You can shell out 3 or $400 a couple of times and have a great Nav system.

Another vote for the Pioneer AVH series, I found Amazon to have the best prices.

I just put his unit in my truck. http://mobile.jvc.com/product.jsp?mo...hId=148&page=1

Works and sounds great. The Bluetooth is awesome. Even found a harness that allowed me to keep my steering wheel controls.

Has anyone seen the pioneer AppRadio ?

I have an Iphone, so it would come to good use.. And they are pretty damn cheap for a touch screen unit! I have been reading some reviews, It seems they are all pretty good except for if you dont have an iphone or it breaks...

Is the harness only for jvc head units or is it generic?

I don't want to give up my steering wheel controls.
