led strobe lights install

so i ordered one of those police flashers off the internet with some led lights and last night i hooked it up and turned it on and they arent bright at all when i hook the lights up straight to the battery they are bright as hell but when i hook them up through the flasher they are dim any suggestions

the flasher is sho-me and i dont remember what the lights are i'll check in the morning

You could probably hook them up to a aftermarket relay and run a toggle switch into the cab that would give you direct power with out over loading the toggle, just a suggestion

hook them up to a relay after the switch and it will boost the output

Just find a good 12v switch that will handle the amp load and you should be fine, I know i have gotten some thru radioshack that have worked for me in the past wiring up cooling fans on other trucks.
