So this thing works on Trucks before '06? Mine was built 2/05. Just clarifying. Everything I've heard up to this point says it has to be '06 or after. Even Crutchfield's.

Works on my '05.
The steering wheel volume control works, but nothing else. The controls on the radio don't work either. You have to use the idevice buttons. I would like to have a RCA to USB cable and maybe I could have more radio/steering controls and the idevice would charge too. ![]() The Aux input is in the back on these radios. It is a OEM style harness pug in and not the 3.5mm jack or USB, so you can't just plug and play the MP3 or idevice without this or a similar adapter. Shawn |

I have the FRD04 in my 2004 (no steering wheel controls). In general it works fine. On occasion, the headunit can not proprerly see the unit. It shows an error on the display ... something like "eject" (I do not recall what exactly). I have to unplug the unit and plug it back in to have it recognize again. Does anyone else have an issue like this?
