key out, truck still running..

so i parked my excursion, took the key out and it was still running.

anybody have this kinda problem. what can it be??

How long have you owned the truck? If it is new to you my guess would be is that the previous owner had a turbo timer put on the truck. It will keep the truck running until your EGT get down to a preset range before it shuts the truck off.

its a buddies truck, he just got it shipped from down in the states. thank you for the help, it must be a turbo timer. can a turbo timer be put in without putting an aftermarket alarm on?, cause i know on my ex, my aftermarket alarm supports it.

I do believe they make some independant turbo timers although I could not tell you who makes them. I know alot of guys on here use the Edge CTS has a turbo timer option or an aftermarket security system for their turbo timer.
