So nearly 3 weeks ago, I installed the DDM Tuning 35w HID kit in my '07 F250. I went with 5000k in the headlights (9008 bulb setup) and 6000k in the fog lights. I also spent a bit extra to get the "upgraded" slim digital ballast. Since day 1, the fogs and headlights will not work properly. My passenger side headlight will not come on sometimes, and when I go from low to high beam (which is a joke) then back to low, my passenger side light stays hung up in high beam, until I cut my fogs off. Every time without fail, my fog light on the driver side will not come on unless I toggle the switch back & forth 6 or 7 times. The fog lights are what makes this setup. I emailed ddm, and they gave me a long spill about me being charged for sending components back if they test them as working properly, etc... What gives fellas?

It sounds like you need the relay harnesses.I had to use them on my GTO,the fogs would just flicker, because it didn't get enough power to turn on.

Since my headlights are hi/low all in one, it came with the relay harness... I considered buying an extra ballast and new headlight bulbs to switch them out and see if anything cleared up...

I have had DDM HIDs in my truck for over a year now. I didn't get the slim ballasts because they where out of stock
wish I did. And same as you got the high low feature and the included relay harness. I havent had a problem with my headlights at all with one not coming on, and the high beams work. I havent had one get stuck in that mode.BUT, i do have that problem sometimes with my fogs with no relay harness. If I turn them off then back on, the passenger side one will come back on. I've debated getting the relay harness for the fogs but havent yet. If DDM won't really do anything. Be prepared when you are going to turn your lights on like normal, and video everything that is happening. Maybe this will help with convincing them that something is up. |
