2003 Excursion = Dash Gages go crazy

Have a 2003 6.0 Excursion.

Three days ago, we replaced both batteries after BAT light kept coming on.

Noon Yesterday while driving, all the dash Gages (speed, fuel, oil, etc) started going back and forth, speed dial maxed out 100 then to zero and back again. then a little clicking sound and dials went back to normal. This sequence happened 5 or so times in the span of 15 minutes.

Engine purred along at 35MPH as if nothing had happened.

This issue has not repeated itself today...

If you have not done this yet. Have your alternator tested. Something similar happened to mine. Ended up being alterner went south. Good Luck

Replaced alternator, problem disappeared.... Thanks :-)
