Line In Button On Nav Unit
So I have done a search and did a some reading, and no one talks about a Line In button on the factory nav unit. There are lots of threads on Aux buttons but no Line In buttons. I know I have a couple empty connectors on the back of the unit and would like to add FRD04 or something like that, but been hearing that you need an Aux button.
So does anyone know if that would be the same thing or is there a difference?

I bet you can get info from the people that make them. FRD04 if I remember right says it does NOT work with added stuff like the nav. On the other hand, having that button might mean you already have a jack somewhere that doesn't need the PIE adapter.

^^ they didn't star offering factory equipped nav until 2008 for the 6.4 superduty (gas included)

Sorry guys back again. Lost this thread. I bought the nav unit used a few years ago. Not sure exactly what year it is but just from what I can remember, it's manufacture date is in late 07 so guessing it would belong to an 08 truck originally. I will see if I can dig up a photo or I will just take a photo of it. Would still like to put in a PIE but don't want to spend the money if it doesn't work for it.

Thats from an 08, their line in jack was located externally from the unit on the top of the dash, i always hated the being up top like that. It is the headphone type line in.
