Interface adapter installed (PIE)

Hey guys, after help in a post and a write-up from the org, I was finally able to find an iPod interface and install it in my 05 F250. My PIE FRD-04 POD/S and it works great. The instructions said it would only be capable with older ipod/iphone models but my iPhone 4 worked perfect and even lets you use internet radio applications like Pandora which is awesome. I definitely suggest it to any members looking to use their iPod/iPad/iPhone while retaining the stock head unit like myself.

Mine is great, also depends on the quality of your downloaded music. For internet radio applications like Pandora and Slacker radio make sure you have "high quality" turned on in settings.

im on the fence with this... either going to install the pie deal or just get a double din for 200$ more that can play video and what not from my iphone. Be good for the kids while on road trips after making it play while driving

Pie was $145. With aftermarket you have to consider additional costs for wiring harnesses, bezel and adapters so you wont lose your steering wheel controls if you have them. Plus i like keeping the stock look of the radio.

eBay pie was 60$ deals are out there. Came with iPod cord that charges

Also The adapters for steering wheel controls isn't much more than taping into stock harness unless you are afraid of little wiring buy the expensive adapter plug....
Order from crutch field adapters and install kit free and free shipping and pretty competitive to the chain stores like car toys and best buy.


Stock is boring as well.

Yea i have the one with the ipod cord that enables you to either control the device through the radio which displays artists/songs/playlists or control it using the device itself.
