reprogram pcm

I have an 07 f350 dually and my pcm has been getting hot and causing some problems so I replaced it with a used one and didn't reprogram it to the other one but my truck cranked up and ran like it should I be worried about something not being installed on this one? And also if I should get it reprogramed can I take it some where cheaper than Ford or just suck it up and have them update the fcim and pcm for $200

check out Power Hungry Performance. Have them "rollback" the FICM and PCM strategies. it's about $200 as well. This way you can get custom tuning and get the better strategies. The later PCM/FICM strategies...well the suck compared to 03 strategies
