CD changer wont load CD's

05 Lariat wont load any CD's I try to put in the stock 6 CD player it came with. from what I've read off google its a common problem with no fix besides just buying a new aftermarket or find one from a Ford dealer. I am going to go the aftermarket route but I have a question for you guys. Im looking to stay at or below 200 between the radio "system" wiring harness and ill do the install myself with a buddy so no $ lost there. I am curious though, by installing an aftermarket system will that make the controls for volume, mode, and next on the steering wheel inoperative? Or is will they still function if I purchase the right system?

Any suggestions on systems and if what I stated above will be a problem will be highly appreciated as always guys!
