Factory stereo crapped out...is the Alpine CDE-126BT a good replacement?

Saw this unit on a few places, cheapest was on ebay for $155. Anybody here previously/currently using this head unit?

I was planning on doing the stereo system after other engine mods, but I guess TruckNorris itself has other plans...

Any particular reason you're going with that one? I had this one in my 05 for about a month before it got wrecked
JVC Mobile Entertainment \ KD-X50BT - KD-X50BT \ Introduction
doesn't have a cd player, but did bluetooth, and pandora streaming from your smartphone and even controlled the pandora from the headunit itself. Awesome little stereo, if I didn't have a dvd/nav in my harley Id put this one in there.

No reason in particular to go with that specific unit. I know that Alpine makes good stuff, and it has bluetooth to answer phone calls too. That JVC one looks pretty good, except I'd like a cd player to play some of my old cds I made. Oh nostalgia...

HAHA, I said that too, then I thought about the last time I played a CD, it'd been years. I usually just use my ipod or pandora on my phone

I used to use my ipod on my other truck, but this one doesn't have an aux jack to plug into so I've been jamming to cd's I made in high school/college. But I had been having problems with the stereo for a while and now it completely shut down and keeps telling me there's "no cd" in when I know there's 5 in there. So I guess now's the time to upgrade.

Im more partial to Pioneer, but its a personal preference. All radio brands have their faults one way or another.

I actually ended up going with the Kenwood KDC-BT752HD CD Receiver. I found it for a decent price and it has bluetooth and hd radio built in as well. Now I just have to match up some speakers, subs, and amps...
