Best Altenatorr

Alternator is going out in my 2006 6.0 and I called around to the local O'Reilly and at cost with lifetime warranty its $243 and some change, I also called my local Advance Auto and it comes to $170 with some change.

Question is, does anyone know of a better/cheaper alternator?

6.0L Alternator

the 6.0L Alternator is not bad if your not running anything off of it.... stereo's and auxillary equipment for trailers etc... are alternator killers. Go figure huh, is this not what they were designed for.

Wait it gets better, if the problem goes undetected and the charging system suffers then the FICM (Fuel Injection Control Module) fails due to low voltage.

There are some larger AMP ones available and although the 230A alternator I sell seem overkill, they have all ways been the be all fix for the 6.0L alternator/charging system issues. They are a perfect match and are the same alternator that comes in the Ambulance Package.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THE 6.0L 230A ALTERNATOR.

Yeah, about the only thing that pulls extra charge with me would be CTS and stereo.

Ya 230 may be overkill but look for something a little bigger.

Altenator

I have the 200 amp alternator, but the money is spent on charge at idle. I put down $350.00 for 140 amps at idle with 200 amps at 1100 rpm. All 1/0 guage power wire, The length of the circuit is crucial. There was a wire size to length chart that came with my alternator. Total your demand and follow it!
