Subs and amp info

I am wanting to get a sub setup for my crew cab. Would 2 10s work or one 12in shallow one work better? And under seats or behind the rear bench is better ?

im hopefully going to be putting my SI BM MKIII shallow 12 in this truck in the next few weeks behind the seat or possibly under.

a buddy local has 2 Kicker cvt shallows behind the seats in his 04 CC in a cheap box and they sound pretty good

i was just gonna get the shallow 12in which iirc was a alpine sub and a ported behind the bench box but since i dont know much about them, i didnt know which one was better.

its all about the sub really. mine sounds great and clean but i could use a second one to up the SPL.

id look into the alpine and pionner shallow mounts since stereo integrity isnt producing anything right now

i googled it but what is a ballpark on what yours ran? i would be doing non ported to keep my sub its happiest

what kind of music do you listen to?

ported boxes tend to be boomy, best for rap, or bass laden music.

sealed boxes tend to be less efficient, but sound quality is better , and better for most other types of music.

I always recommend tens if you want a good compromise between low frequency extension and tight, controlled bass. Twelves are good, but I love tens for the punchiness. and transient response..i wouldn't even shy away from a quality set of 8's either.......I've got two eights and they put out some great sound.
