radio display inop but radio works
The backlight for the radio quit working but still funtions properly. I can turn on/off change stations and all presets still work, just the display is dead. No clock, or anything. The only lights i get are two little led lights from the CD player. Is there some fuse somewhere to check or is the radio needing replacing? Thanks

I think it's just the display is dead. If it were a fuse, the radio wouldn't get any power at all.

I have a problem similar to this but it's the other way around. My radio is getting power to it but it will not turn on. All the lights on the buttons light up and when you press the power button the screen comes on shows the ford logo and time and then shuts off. Also none of my windows work. This seems to be a delayed accessory problem but I checked all the fuses for radio, windows, and delayed accessory and they are all good. How would I go about checking the big cube looking relays? I think that could be the culprit

I have an 03..... I checked the only radio fuse which was of course good. Man you dont realise how often you look at the clock until you dont have the clock!!! I going to check at a local salvage yard and see if they have any radios still in workin order. Thanks for your replys!!!

It's a cracked solder joint on the back of the display board more than likely.I have fixed a lot of the on expeditions and f150's never seen it happen on an F250.
all you need to do is pull the radio, take of face plate, resolder all solder jonts and test |
