reverse wire for radio

is there a wire under the dash that is for the reverse gear: I need this wire to hook up my radio so the camera works right. I do have the cam hooked up to the reverse tail lights light, but the radio needs to connect to a reveres wire too and hoping i don't have to run the wire all the way back to the tail light.

There should be a black/red wire in the drivers kick panel

Is it black/red or black/pink? I thought it was the black/pink wire since thats the color going to the reverse bulb in the tail lights.

I hooked mine up the the black/pink as soon as it exited the steering column. I don't know if it is the right one or not because I don't have my camera hooked up yet. However, I noticed that when I turned off the truck I wasn't able to keep listening to the radio like I used to (before opening the doors) so I cut the wire I connected and it worked like normal again.

Ok thanks I will look for it. I did not want to run another wire to the back of the truck.

could be black/pink. The two different sites i get info from have different infirmation.Just check it with a DVOM to verify.

I checked the wires and found out that the black and pink is the one that was in mine. I also followed it to the back up light. But check before you d anything, it could be diffrent in other trucks.

Did you leave your power wire hooked up at the tail light and then tie the radio in at the dash?
