CB Antenna?

I'm looking for pics of mounted antenna's. I cant seem to find a good spot. I have a tool box, but it's a low profile, so no room.

I heard the Wilson 5000 magnet mount's are good. Mount it on your roof.

The only thing bad about mag mounts are that they leave marks where you had them. I'm trying to figure out where I'm going to put my antenna.

Remember...the placement of your antenna is going to havea hand in your reception. The closest you can get to the middle of the truck, the better. Also make sure the antenna height is right. 1/3 to 3/4 of the antenna's length should be above the highest point on the truck. Dual antennas are a different animal...I would research duals and the correct placement if that is what your looking for.

In a perfect world, I would install a 104" whip with the base as high as possible, like on the top of the cab...in the middle where the 3rd brake light is.

Also...make sure you ground the antenna and mount the best you can.

Yeah that as well as getting the antenna matched to the radio. If you don't have the antenna matched to the radio you will burn up the radio. Then you will be looking for a new radio.

I just mounted mine on the sides of my tool book and they work fine, I don't have any problems with reception.
