How well does your radio work with that setup? Do you have any kind of sight problems with the antenna being in front of you?

It seems to work just fine....not too many folks left on the AM side of things anymore...I plan to use while towing our camper for the most part...although I did add one of those old school Echo Mic's...I have not checked my standing wave as of yet...I've no sight interference at all...the Wilson antenna is very narrow, and looks great (MHO).

I am really pleased with the set-up, utility and looks!

cale

I used the 3' Wilson with the Firestik mount kit...Wilson ($23) was avail locally...ordered Kit ($28) online from FL.

I bought a K 40 trunk mount and made a bracket that bolts to the fender under the hood (like the one above) It is made from an 1/8" stock. The K 40 recieves and transmitts very very well with a p&t 29LTD (15 to 20 miles on a good nite, 10 during the day.)
