12 V power source near front seats
I am installing 2002 King Ranch seats in my 2005 Lariat, and to make a long story short the wiring is different. I have power to the seats and everything works except for the heat. Each seat has an extra wire that requires 80A to make the heat work, or at least there is an extra wire and I read in another thread that it requires 80A.
I know nothing about electrical, so feel free to correct me if I have explained this wrong. Is there a Key-On 12V source anywhere near the seats that I could tap into? |

You won't find an 80 amp 12 volt source without going straight to the battery. That is CRAZY amperage.

Sounds like a mis-print or mis-information there? 8A sounds more realistic! My manual (off of a 2005, naturally) shows the heated seat circuit to be fused @ 20 amps. I see no reason to think yours should be any higher.

It must have been a missprint, found what I needed and got the heated seat working on the driver's side. I'm surprised how different the seats are wired from year to year. The connectors from the seats to the truck are the same, but the wire location inside the connectors is not.
