Auxillary Switches without using Upfitters?
New project to digest over the winter, to conincide with a couple of other projects. I want to run some form of box under my dash under the upfitters/TBC and wire it straight to my battery(s) so I can have working/off road lights on around the truck and not have to have the truck running. I have a few different circuits I'd like to run maybe 6 switches in all (as to not run out of switches after this fabrication).
Figure 10-guage wire coming off the battery, with the same running from this box to ground. Each switch will have its own fuse, and each switches wiring could be grounded in this box, or the chassis.
Either way, I'm looking to exceed the number of Upfitters and would like suggestions on how to do this. Box options, wire, switches, etc.
Future Plans:
1- Two Large driving lights on a light bar off the grill.
2- Two Smaller flood lights on a light bar off the grill.
3- Four Flood Lights off a headache rack (similar to Ryan's Truck) facing back.
4- On Board Air Compressor.
5- On Board A/C Inverter.
6- Open.
(As mentioned, I'm going to exceed the Upfitters)
