I dont know, i have an aftermarket deck as well and my steering wheel controls dont work. I was told i needed an adapter to make them work. The adapter was about a 100.00 bucks.

The aftermarket control adapter is only like $38. Here is a link to it:

Amazon.com: Metra Axxess ASWC Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface (Black): Automotive Amazon.com: Metra Axxess ASWC Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface (Black): Automotive

Metra's website has full instructions on how to install it and which wire it is. I believe it was wire #18 in the harness. You can also get this harness for a few bucks which makes hookup real easy.

Amazon.com: Scosche FD23B 2003-Up Select Ford Harness: Car Electronics Amazon.com: Scosche FD23B 2003-Up Select Ford Harness: Car Electronics

This way you don't have to do a thing to your factory harness. Hook the wires from the aftermarket radio to this harness as well as the wires (3 of them) from the Metra adapter and it's plug and play.

Keep in mind different aftermarket radio's have different connections for steering wheel controls. Mine had a 1/8" mini plug. Others are different.

On my 07 it is the lite blue with red tracer in Pin 18 on the factory harness.

I have the axxess self programming that I still have to wire in and it plugs into back of the stereo with a headphone like jack.

3 wires, switched power, ground, and blue/red wire.
