Wear it!

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Here:

Belt Minder Deactivating/Activating Preparation

Before deactivating/activating the belt minder, apply the parking brake.
Place the gearshift in the PARK position (automatic transmission) or the NEUTRAL position (manual transmission).
Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
Close all the vehicle doors.
Unbuckle the driver safety belt.
Place the headlamp switch in the OFF position.

Deactivating/Activating

Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position. (Do not start the engine.)
Wait until the safety belt warning indicator turns off (approximately 1 minute).
NOTE: Step 3 must be completed within 60 seconds after the safety belt warning indicator turns off.

After this step the safety belt warning indicator illuminates for 3 seconds.

Buckle and unbuckle the safety belt 9 times, ending with the safety belt unbuckled.
NOTE: Carry out this step within 10 seconds after the safety belt warning indicator is illuminated.

Buckle and unbuckle the safety belt.
The following sequence of events confirm the belt minder is enabled:
flashing of the safety belt warning indicator 4 times per second for 3 seconds
3 seconds with the safety belt warning indicator off
flashing the safety belt warning indicator 4 times per second for 3 seconds again
The safety belt warning indicator flashing 4 times per second for 3 seconds provides confirmation of belt minder disabled.
After confirmation, the deactivation/activation procedure is complete.

I have an '05 Ex and every friggin time I take my truck in for servicing the dealer turns my seatbelt warning back on. It is against the law up here not to wear seat belts but the next time they turn my warning chime back on I'm going to go postal.

Simplified:

Belt Minder Deactivating Preparation

"Before deactivating the belt minder, apply the parking brake.

Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
Close all the vehicle doors.

After this step the safety belt warning indicator illuminates for 3 seconds."

You should be good to go.

Seems strange, but after I did this, it also stopped doing that annoying thing where the drivers door unlocks itself after hitting the lock button. Are the 2 tied in together or am I just losing my mind?
