Homelink in sun visor question

I want to add a homelink garage door opener to my visor. I have one in my 05 Lincoln LS and really like it. But my current visor in my 06 F350 is not the "lighted" one. So my question is...

Does anyone know if the wiring harness is still there if the lighted vanity mirror visors are not installed? It would sure make things a lot easier.

Thanks in advance!!

unscrew your visor down and feel around in the hole for the connector. if you have one that is where it will be. I also added homelink to my 06 superduty, however i have the lighted vanity mirror. Best mod that i did.

I added an auto dimming mirror with compass and three homelink bottons to my '07. Easy mod and well worth the effort. I have to believe you could easily run power for a homelink visor up through tha A pillar, as I did for the mirror

I have a similar mirror. Was just hoping the harness for the lit visor would be sitting right there.
