Question In dash power point blowing fuses in plugs!

All right y'all. Ive solved many problems on this forum so here is one more issue. The power point on my dash is constantly blowing the fuses in the 12 volt plugs. It works fine in the cig lighter but instantly blows fuses from the power point. I cant use the power point and its annoying. Any thoughts?

The cig lighter is basically just causing a short to create the heat. Check the wires and make sure they are not backwards or that anything inside is causing a short. I don't see how it could be plugged in wrong but this would cause a problem with items plugging in as the polarity would be reversed and probably not with the lighter as polarity would not matter.
