Factory Satelite Radio

When was factory satellite radio introduced and can I retrofit it into my '03 Excursion. I have the 6 disc cd eater, I mean changer and I'd like to cheaply upgrade. Otherwise I may look for an aftermarket setup.

Adding to my previous post, IF I went with an aftermarket head unit, I would like GPS/Navigation to replace my separate Garmin unit, satellite to replace my plug and play, and looks like most can run mp3/phone/HD radio, etc. I just want to clean up the dash area. I also have an non factory DVD system for the rear seat area. For those that have DVD, can I integrate a head unit that has DVD into my rear monitor, and be able to still watch the GPS or listen to the radio up front? Lastly any issues with glare or trouble seeing the screen with the sun shining in?
