This wire is for??
Hey all,
I was under the hood and I noticed these wires on the drivers side up against the firewall. It looks like they were just cut off what ever they were hooked to. Anyone know what they are for? [IMG][/IMG] |

They are for the factory upfitter switches. If you look under your dash, you will find the other ends there taped up and out of the way. You can use them if you want to add the upfitter's into your truck, or you can wire them to anything you like and use the other end for the switch to control it on the inside of the truck. I would say almost all trucks w/o the upfitter from factory have those wires there.

upfitters are the 4 switches next to the trailer brake controller. They have nothing to do with one another just share a spot on the dash. yes thats why they pre-ran the wires thru the firewall though but you can use them for anything, they are just a length of wire run through the firewall
