Trailer Disconnected alarm

While towing with my 05 F350 I occasionally get this alarm message on my dash. The higher I have the gain set the more I get the alarm, any ideas? Also my back-up sensors always stay off and I cant turn them on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same issue with mine a while back. I ended up taking the 7 pin truck plug apart and found the brake wire contact corroded. I cleaned it out with some electrical contact cleaner and scrapped off all the green corrosion that i could. Then put die electric grease all over the connections, havnt had another problem!

I had the same issue with my 05 and this fixed it!
