Heated seats turning on automatically?

We've got an '05 F350 Lariat that is new to us. One of the odd things that is happening is the heated seats sometimes turn on automatically when the truck is first started. I haven't noticed any pattern, but it seems to happen frequently.

I've done some searching, but not found any info on this issue... Any ideas?

Are you sure you aren't accidently bumping them when you get in and out? I've done that many times before and so has many people getting in and out on the passenger side. I have never heard of them turning on by themselves.

You probably just bumped the switch at some point. The heated seats do not automatically reset to the off position when you turn the truck off.

I hate the position of the switches because I am also constantly bumping them when I get in or out of the truck!

For the summertime I just pull out the fuse so I don't have that problem.
