What the hell is eatting the alternator?

What the hell is eatting the alternator? Heres the story. I bought the truck in June and it just had the alternator replaced by the PO then in like sept i sold it to my uncle. He had to replace it last month, then it died again this past weekend. What is the deal??? Thanks

04 6.0 with no aftermarket electronics besides the superchips.

****UPDATE****

Battery light is back on. I have even ran a ground from the alternator bolt! That was like 2 weeks ago and it didnt fix the issue. NOW, from what I thought i was some where is that the Starter may be able to cause this issue, any thoughts? He said the starter may be questionable, but the truck starts just fine....

I saw something about a bad radiator ground? Could i just run a ground from the alternator bolt to the frame somewhere? And what guage would the wire need to be?

Where are the alternators coming from. I bought one at advanced auto one time and put 4 on before they finally gave me a brand new Remy

Yeah...well it does get hot so I know it's carrying a load from somewhere...and I haven't had any alternator issues since. I'll take a pic in a sec and post it.
