Isspro EV2 fuel gauge install

I changed my A-pillar 3 pod to a 4 pod and put in the ev2 fuel pressure gauge. Wired it per instructions (or at least the way I understood it to be) however it doesn't work!! I have power to #1 (albeit 5volts), #2 dimmer varies voltage as it should, #3 shows good ground continuity, #4,5 and 6 which come directly from the sender are dead. Now, I just ran the supplied wire harness from sender to the orange 6 cavity connector: #4 is +5v, #5 is sensor and #6 is ground. I am assuming that #4 gets bridged power from #1 and #6 is bridged grounded with #3. Am I wrong? Do I need to run a second hot to #4 and a second ground to #6?? All the other gauges work fine, but they are the EV type with amp boxes. I have tried contacting DM using the after hours number to no avail. It is Sunday and would like to get this working before I have to go back to work myself tomorrow. Any help would be appreciated.

Working...needed to get greater voltage at pin #1, 5v was not enough. I needed 12v.
