tach reading funny

noticed this today on the drive home and couldnt find anything similar searching.

when i'm sitting at a light the tach is reading below 0rpms, and when going down the road its not reading correctly either.

i can still see the correct rpm's using my insight so i know the tach is way wrong.

anyone run into anything similar and can point me in the right direction?

Im have other troubles with my tach im trying to trace the wires under the dash to the tach to see if there is a signal? Anyone have the colors for the wires that go to the tach?/
